One Week After Graduation

I GRADUATED!!! AND I passed my classes! Woooohoooo! It' now been over a week since graduation and I still have not had a break.

Moving my stuff and my sister's stuff into her apartment then moving my stuff back into the house took a lot of energy out of everyone. Coming home after a 7.5 hour drive I cleaned my closet and my room and tried unpacking as much as I could Friday night. Jonathan and I left for Vegas early Saturday morning, which tired me out EVEN MORE. The both of us were exhausted after walking all of Saturday and Sunday, we were grandma and grandpa!!! I love you baby :)
Coming home Monday afternoon from Vegas I unpacked some more, emptied out about 7 boxes or so. Tuesday I had a doctor's appointment at 8:45am and I ran a bunch of errands. Wednesday I ran more errands, cleaned around the house, emptied out more boxes, went to Angel's orchestra concert, and I washed clothes. I am so glad to be home and do my laundry here!!! I don't have to walk downstairs with 2 or 3 loads of laundry with my keys, coins, and detergent; I don't have to walk up and downstairs 2 or 3 other times to take loads out of washer, into dryer, and out of dryer!!! YAY!!!

We've all been working really hard getting things together for my party Sunday. Gloria and Maria made chocolate lollipops as party favors, my mom made a huge sign reading: CONGRATS /NANCY/ UC BERKELEY/ 2009. They've also bought a lot of cute grad signage, table cloths, plates, etc. I barely finished unpacking my last box last night. Well not really "unpacked" but stuffed everything into the shed or my closet (wink wink), but at least it's clean for Sunday!!!

I graduate tomorrow! 24 hours left as an undergrad

I have not been able to sleep as much as I would like lately. Sunday I woke up at 6am when I was supposed to wake up at 6:45am. Monday I woke up at 5am-ish and my alarm was set for 6:45am again. Today I woke up at 6am-ish and I was hoping to at least sleep in until 8:00am. Nimodo. Now I've got to study, run errands, take an exam, pack, host my family and try to sleep.

I can't believe this is my last final. I remember my first set of finals. Chicano Studies 50, Math 1A, and Religion Studies 190. I would not want to do that all over again hahaha. I'm going to miss Berkeley except the finals part.

With all this happiness, excitement, and stress I forgot to keep my extreme emotion balanced. When Jonathan's car overheated this afternoon my heart dropped. I could not control it. I had just been super elevated when he called me to move his flight up to 2:20pm, and 20 minutes later I had to change it back. I really need to keep my excitement to a minimum from now on, we want to avoid heart attacks! I've got to get out of here alive and healthy.

As much as I know it wasn't his fault I am really upset. This is like the 5th time this happens this year. aghhh. ok enough negatives. Think positive.... I can't wait until 6:30pm!!!

TWO Days 'til Graduation.

Stats is done and over with but what a torture. I woke up without alarms or anything at 5am or 5:30am and I couldn't go back to sleep. The final was no "walk in the park," on the contrary, it was like a public murder. I am so glad it is now over and I hope that Michael is feeling very generous with the grading. Now I just need to study for my 1st Amendment final which is tomorrow at 5pm. Luckily I am taking this class on a pass/ no pass basis and I only need 10% more to pass the class. (I think).

After my final this morning I stopped by the student store to browse and see if they had ordered my diploma frame and they only had TWO left!!! Coming home to have brunch I had another reality check, what should we make to eat if our fridge only has condiments? "We should finish the eggs, tomorrow we'll have cereal for breakfast and we'll eat Intermezzo for lunch before our final... AHH our final is tomorrow!?" Yup, Tuesday May 19th is tomorrow. Our last final at Cal. My last final at Cal! Cuca, Chuy, and David drive up tomorrow morning. My parents drive up tomorrow afternoon. Jonathan flies in tomorrow evening. Wow.

Our internet is shut off already. We didn't want to pay for just 1 day of internet of our next billing cycle so we canceled it. We are using Andrew's (our 3rd floor neighbor). I took my posts-its off of Sam's Stats book and returned it. I just need one notebook right now. My "P" for my UBGA Nightlife Decal is already posted on BearFacts.

In two day's I'll be an official UC Berkeley Alumni.

holy cow stats is tomorrow

It's still Sunday and I just realized I have my stat's final TOMORROW. But I'm so sleepy and tired from Sam's graduation.... HOLY COW....

3 days! Sam's Graduation!

Today was Sam's graduation and tomorrow we have an 8am final....EXCITING!!!
yeah right.

Oh my goodness this is beginning to get as real as it gets...

4. four. cuatro. quatre.

My last Saturday in Berkeley - Just got back from my Brazilian. I'm not going to lie - it hurt. BUT it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I need to come back for my touch up in 2 weeks. Ohhh I finally had that ice cream on College Ave and Ashby Ave called Ici that always has a looooooooong line. There was a long line today too but we stood there. lol

I just want to post a couple of pictures from senior weekend weekend when I thought it would be ok look like a tourist and take a bunch of pictures on campus ;)

I can't wait to graduate and forget about finalsssssssss ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have my senior sweater. I have all my graduation tickets. I got paid today.
Jon might come to my graduation. Life is good. (minus the having to study part.. agh)

I can't believe that by next week Friday all this is going to be over. I won't be living here, I won't be taking buses everywhere, I'm going to be at home, back in Carson in my twin size bed. I've been waking up anxious these past couple of days. Turning stomach. Stressed for statistics because I don't want my GPA to drop. Scared because my life is going to change. I'm going to miss Berkeley, I feel like I need to hurry up and eat everywhere I'm going to miss eating at. Yesterday we had Mediterranean food, today we stopped by Top Dog, tomorrow maybe Thai, Tuesday for sure a salad from Intermezzo!!!

End of Berkeley Chapter in 6 days

Today I remembered last weeks Grey's Anatomy 100th Episode scene from Izzy's and Alex's wedding.

In 6 days a new chapter of my life begins. AND I TOO will start my life, but as an adult. Who is going to start to be accountable for myself instead of depending on my parents. Meanwhile, I've decided to document Berkeley and post it for future reference. For the next few days, pictures galore!!!!!!!!

Reality Check. 1 week to go.

Today it began to hit me.
This morning Telegraph Ave was dead and no one was flyering on Sproul.
Everyone's facebook status' reads: "finals".
This afternoon I went to Tilden Park Lake Anza.
One more thing I checked off my "Things to do at Berkeley before I graduate".
Today was my last day working as a coordinator for BSC.
I said goodbye to them during my last planning meeting and almost cried.
I turn my office keys in to Jen tomorrow.
This evening was my last time doing laundry at 2601 College Ave.
I've done my laundry here for 2 years and today I washed my last 2 loads.
Ironically, today I watched the last episode of the Friends Series on TV
Seeing the empty apartment on Friends, was a reality check: that's how you'll apartment will be in a week.
